Metal stamping is a cold-working manufacturing process in which sheet metal is put into a stamping press and undergoes immense pressure to form the desired shape. Depending on the die or tooling in the press, the machine can perform a wide range of operations, such as punching, blanking, embossing, and bending.

Our Metal Stamping Facilities
Tryson has a fleet of 40 presses ranging from 12 to 330 tons. We specialize in deep-draw metal stamping and high-speed production of drawn metal inserts and cases and typically work with small to medium-sized parts ranging from 0.5” to 6” in diameter. Our services are here for your prototyping, prototype-to-production, and mid to high-volume production needs–we have 25 OBI presses for short runs and prototypes and 15 straight-side presses for high-volume, tight-tolerance production. We also have a tool room equipped to maintain and repair any tooling to support our stamping presses and keep things running smoothly.
We can make a wide variety of components with complex geometries from the following metals:
- Low carbon steel (1006 to 1010 grade)
- Stainless steel (300 and 400 series)
- Aluminum
- Copper
- Brass
- Spring steel
- Phosphor bronze (previously used)
- High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA)
